Habits of Self-Love

Loving ourselves is really important. When you do - you will notice your self-esteem improving. It is not about being narcissistic or about being too self-involved. It is also not about thinking we are above anyone else. Instead, I invite you to think about how important is it to love the body you are in and love the person you are.

When we feel love for ourselves, we suddenly start having more positive interactions with other people and make even healthier choices for ourselves. Yes, it affects everything!

Habits of self-love has been a practice I started integrating into my life since I was a young girl. The idea of self-love was notably challenged as young girl when I started to get verbally bullied in elementary school. Self-love statements and establishing healthy boundaries with others really got me strong and through with the bulling.

With time, I became more interested in psychology. Attending graduate school really helped understand myself even more and I explored further ways I could improve (self-analysis is really important in my career). I have found that many people struggle integrating habits of self-love into their day to day. This is why I'd like to share some tips and I really hope that you enjoy this read.

Please note that this post is meant for educational purposes only and it is not meant to be a form of therapy. If you are seeking psychological services, feel free to contact me or your local hospitals/clinics for mental health services.
